Truly one of my favorite Airbnb's of all time. What an absolutely magical place. I'm not exaggerating when I say that within 30 minutes of arriving, I immediately extended my reservation. My 9-year old son said it was his "favorite vacation house EVER." Full of character, original artwork, charming little details, a well stocked library and kitchen, this cabin has a soul and I'm so grateful to have been able to stay in it! Also impeccably clean!! Perfect Mentone Cabin!
We booked for 3 nights and wished for 3 more! The Nest was like home to us. I’ve never seen such an artfully decorated cabin, just beautiful! Very nice, comfortable furniture, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Front porch rockers, and a big stone patio with a fireplace were our sources of relaxation and peace. Close to town, close to DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon. A bonus was meeting the gracious owners, who have created a wonderful retreat!April 2026
The place was amazing and one of the best decorated places we have been to in our AIRBNB travels. Location was in the woods but ten-minute walk from town with restaurants and an art village open on weekends. Host was very easy to reach before and during our visit. King size bed was a plus and a great bathroom with plenty of hot water for the shower. Nice outside area to drink your coffee and look at the woods. Very pet friendly for our doggie. One of the best places we have stayed in the last couple of years.

Absolutely loved our stay at Juli’s cabin! My husband and I had our two golden retrievers with us and we all had a great time. I loved the layout of the cabin, especially the in-room tub. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and was so easy to prepare meals. Very peaceful cabin but close and walkable to Mentone downtown. We enjoyed walking with our dogs to the farmers market on Saturday. Great experience and hope we can stay here again.August 31, 2026

This is my second time here and I consider it one of the best cabins in Mentone.

The Winking Owl was the perfect weekend getaway for our little family. It feels completely tucked away and peaceful, yet it’s still conveniently close to town if you need anything. Honestly, there’s hardly a reason to leave — every detail has been thoughtfully taken care of. From the cozy atmosphere to the small touches that make your stay effortless, it’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind.If you’re looking for a relaxing escape, this is it. We can’t recommend it enough!

This was our 2nd time to stay with Juli and we loved it just as much as the first. Juli is very responsive and has lots of great recommendations of things to do. Her beautiful home is just as advertised and is well equipped with everything you need. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

This beautiful, cozy cabin in the mountains of Mentone is a lovely retreat/escape. We had our two young kids and dog with us, and it worked out great!
Everything was set up in the kitchen to cook a home cooked meal. The kids loved playing in the huge yard and saying hi to Gumbo and Dear Abby. There are three other cabins in the property, and they are spaced out nicely to give you plenty of privacy.
We were on a road trip, and it was a beautiful place to rest and explore for 3 weeks! Juli went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.
